The matter of Paris Cooks, et. al. v. Ovations Food Services LP d/b/a Spectra Food Services Hospitality, 2:23-cv-01858-NR, in the United States District Court for the Western District, Pittsburgh Division, was filed by Paris Cooks alleging violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act (“FLSA”) as well as Pennsylvania law. Plaintiff claimed that he was entitled to unpaid minimum and overtime wages as a result of Ovations’ pay practices. While Ovations denies and does not admit any wrongdoing, Plaintiff and Ovations have reached a settlement releasing Ovations. Class Members may participate in the settlement by following the below procedures.

Receive settlement money | To receive his/her portion of the settlement, a class member must complete, sign, and submit the Consent to Join Form. By submitting a completed Consent to Join Form by the October 5, 2024 deadline, the class member will become a settlement participant and will be releasing all of the federal, state, and local law claims listed in the Form. |
Ask to be excluded from the settlement | If a class member does not want to participate in the settlement, he/she should not submit a Settlement Consent Form. The class member will not be waiving any rights or claims that they may have against Ovations under federal, state, and local law. |
